So this is another one of those "too easy to be a recipe" recipes. The other day, when it was cold and grey, I decided that I wanted chili and nothing else. I didn't have enough ground beef (let's be real here, 1 lb of ground beef = 2 meals for me, maybe) but I did have a pork shoulder that needed to be cooked. So really, this recipe is born out of my lack of desire to drive to the grocery store. You're welcome.
And sometimes, you try to go for a small, artsy spill....and end up dumping chili powder EVERYWHERE. Such is life.
This recipe is just a combination of two recipes that are already posted around here, so I won't re-write the entire thing but instead, direct you to those, and give you the steps and a few additional ingredients that I used. Feel free to add any additional veggies like mushrooms and peppers that you normally like in your chili - I just didn't have any on hand.
I've been eating this non-stop since I made it and show no signs of stopping anytime soon. Chili, pulled pork, and cold weather - it's just oh so right.
