It's been awhile since I've talked specifically about any training updates so I thought today would be a good day to do just that!
1. I'm competing in my second Strongman competition (you can read about my first one here) in January! It looks like it's going to be a great event and I can't wait to compete again. A week or so after that, I've got the Lift Big Eat Big strongman seminar - January is going to be full of strongman awesomeness.
2. We had our max-out week last week and I didn't PR any of my olympic lifts. I was really frustrated but at the same time, I can tell I've made progress. None of the weights felt heavy - it was all technique issues. At this point, I'm not going to be doing much olympic lifting technique since I'm training for my strongman competition.
3. I did PR my overhead squat at 128# this morning (after a night of 3 hours of sleep - damn insomnia) - it's a 15# PR from the last time I maxed my OHS which was several months ago.
4. I've been doing some extra pressing work with dumbbells which means my upper body has been sore for a week. Wonderful.
