Lorna Jane Review #LiveActive

*DISCLAIMER: I received free product from Lorna Jane through FitFluential, LLC in exchange for my review. As always, all opinions, thoughts, and professions of love are my own.* I'm not particularly "fancy" when it comes to work out gear - I like pretty plain pieces and frankly, most of my clothing gets so covered in chalk and sweat that it doesn't matter how pretty it is. However, I will say that I like to splurge on a few items including really high quality capris, long sleeve/in between season shirts, and sports bras. I like to have items that look nice and most importantly, will hold up to repeated use and abuse. I frequently wear workout items outside of the gym too - I'm pretty active during the day anyways so I need clothes that can keep up with me. Lucky for me, Lorna Jane offered to send me a whole outfit along with some information about their philosophy which simply, is move, nourish, believe, and live active.

Prior to receiving these goodies from Lorna Jane, I had never worn any Lorna Jane clothing. I had heard amazing things from friends who love the brand and the clothing. It's safe to say I was NOT disappointed.

Let's start with the sports bra. First off, I'm a big believer that sports bra are not something you should skimp on and this bra did not disappoint. It is extremely comfortable, has great support, and it's pretty darn cute too. The straps are adjustable (major bonus points) and it also has removable padding (more bonus points!). I also like how the strap across the back is thinner than your typical sports bra backstrap - I have a problem with sports bras not fitting my lats (#weightlifterproblems) and the thinness of this strap allows me to wear it higher or lower on my back without moving the front of the bra or affecting the support.

Next up, the compression capris which I am utterly OBSESSED with. These capris are compression tights meaning they're very tight and designed to help improve muscle recovery, reduce fatigue, and increase blood flow to your legs. I pretty much haven't taken these off since I got them and for good reason - they're very tight but not uncomfortable, the high waist is really nice since some compression tights sit too low on me and cut into my hips, and they can be worn either during or after your workout. I usually wear them after my volume squat day or other tough workouts (Murph comes to mind) and I do think they make my legs feel a little less fatigued. Bottom line, they're worth every.single.penny!

The tank top and long sleeve shirt that I was sent were also amazing. The top is very comfortable and I absolutely love the back. Like the sports bra, the straps are adjustable and the padding is removable, which again, I adore. It stays in place nicely during workouts that require a lot of movement (it made through a whole lot of kettlebell swings!) and it's very flattering.

The long sleeve has thumbholes (WIN!) and mesh paneling in the front and back which make it perfect for in-between season outdoor workouts or runs. I typically wear it to and from the gym or on days when I'm going to be outside and it is a dream. It is light enough that I can run in it and not sweat to death but also warm enough to take the chilly edge off on cool mornings. Did I mention the thumbholes? Yup, LOVE.

I was extremely impressed with all of the Lorna Jane products and their company. The clothing is super high quality, durable, and flattering. I am definitely going to be making some purchases from them in the future and I suggest you check them out! I apologize to your bank account in advance :)

P.S. Be on the lookout for a chat with FitFluential & Lorna Jane that is coming up on June 6th!
